Alison Road construction

31 October 2016

Work on a new shared path on Alison Road, between Anzac Parade and Darley Road, will get underway in the coming weeks, providing improved connections through the area for pedestrians and cyclists.

Currently, the existing bike path is being used as a shared path due to light rail construction.

On the opposite side of the road, utility relocation work continues. Work in the Stabling Yard is also progressing well, with construction of a new culvert completed and work now focusing on stormwater drainage and raising the ground level of the site.

Ongoing utility investigation work is underway at the intersection of Alison and Darley roads, with most work now taking place within the boundary of the Royal Randwick Racecourse.

Some changes to street lighting are underway on Alison Road between Darley and Wansey roads, as well as some stormwater work. The next phase of work will focus on excavation in preparation for the installation of the track and track slab in this area over the coming months.
