Track laying continues in Kensington

27 September 2016

More track was laid in zone 29, Anzac Parade between Todman Avenue and High Street, in early September, following the first track for the project being laid in Kensington during August 2016.

The next challenge in this area is to lay track through the intersection of Doncaster Avenue and Anzac Parade. This work started on 23 September and has been planned to take place over the two and a half weeks during the September school holidays and the UNSW mid-semester break.

As track-laying gathers momentum and more rail is required across the project, the Rainbow Street rail yard will become increasingly busy with deliveries of rail to site.
