The new Alison Road stop is taking shape in Zone 23, on Alison Road between Anzac Parade and Darley Road. The steel structure of the stop is now in place and cladding will soon follow.  Preparation for testing and commissioning of the light rail in this area is underway.

In this area, there will be some disruptions and detours to the shared pedestrian and cycle path over coming weeks while installation of light rail poles is completed. In some instances, pedestrians and cyclists will be diverted onto the shared path on the southern side of Alison Road between Doncaster Avenue and Anzac Parade. Crews are working hard to complete construction and return pedestrians and cyclists to the new, finished shared path in coming months.

In Moore Park West, a major milestone was achieved with the breakthrough of the tunnel under Anzac Parade. This means that the tunnel is now connected between the Eastern Distributor Bridge and Tramway Oval – a great achievement for the project after many months of hard work.

Work is underway to install track at the intersection of Anzac Parade and Lang Road.  Preparation for the installation of track at the intersection of Anzac Parade and Alison Road started at the end of August. Installing track through this busy intersection will be a major challenge for the project. As work gets underway, lane changes will be in place while work is carried out, but traffic access will be maintained unless otherwise notified.
