Great progress has been made installing tracks on Anzac Parade, with continuous track now in place from Todman Avenue to Meeks Street. All track has been installed in Zone 29 30 north. Great progress is being made in other areas. Once track is in place, focus will move to work on roads, kerbs and pavements
New traffic lights will be installed at the intersection of Anzac Parade and Sturt Street soon. The midblock pedestrian crossing between Wallace Street and Sturt Street, in front of The Juniors, will be closed and replaced by a crossing with traffic lights at Sturt Street. Anzac Parade will remain open in both directions during this work.
In Zone 31, at the Kingsford terminus, work has started to install pole foundations. Poles will support both overhead wiring that will power the light rail and street lights.
