ALTRAC Light Rail (ALTRAC) is the company tasked with designing, building, operating and maintaining the new light rail project.  ALTRAC comprises leading national and international companies with experience building light rail.

ALTRAC will be carrying out road pavement survey works in preparation for main construction works. Work at any one location will not be continuous during the periods stated below, with work scheduled to take place over a maximum of 5 nights at each location.

Laing O’Rourke will be carrying out utility survey and investigation works along Devonshire Street in Surry Hills to verify the location of existing buried utilities. Works continue at Olivia Gardens in Surry Hills  
April 2015


The Olivia Gardens residential complex in Surry Hills is currently being demolished in preparation for construction of the CSELR. Some activities commenced in December 2014 to prepare the site for demolition. Main demolition works commenced in February 2015 and will continue throughout April 2015.
